Lily says Robbie is too oldLily Allen has claimed that Robbie Williams is too young to be honoured with the 'Outstanding Contribution To Music' prize at the Brit Awards. The singer admitted that she was surprised when she heard that Williams would take home the coveted award at the 30th anniversary ceremony tonight. "I was having a meeting with the producers and they were saying the last performance is Robbie Williams, because he's winning a lifetime achievement award," she told The Sun. "I said, 'That's a bit early isn't it?'. And they thought I meant in the show but I meant his life. "He's only 30 isn't he? So that was quite funny, but good luck to him, he is winning." Williams currently holds the record for most Brit Awards, having won 15 gongs over the past 11 years. Previous
winners of the 'Outstanding Contribution To Music' award include the
Pet Shop Boys (2009), Paul McCartney (2008) and Oasis in 2007. |
