50 Topless Men in Mass Work-Out Hyde Park

Fifty of London’s hottest men will be flexing their muscles at this weekend’s ‘FitFifty’ work-out in Hyde Park on Saturday 19th June to celebrate the end of Men’s Health Week.

Muscle men from the world of sports and entertainment, including Charlton striker Chris Dickson and Shank actor Jan Uddin, will participate in the synchronised exercise session to promote the importance of fitness and health for our nations men.

With just under a third (30 per cent) of premature deaths in men caused by cardio-vascular disease*, it’s vital for men to incorporate exercise into their weekly regimes. Often something as simple as going for a walk at lunchtime or taking the stairs instead of the lift every day can give your heart the help it needs.

Erron Dussard, CEO of STONEiMAGE, said ‘Lots of men allow their demanding lifestyle to distract them from their health. And during times of stress, such as the credit crunch, it can be easy to cut down on costs like a gym membership or get too busy for a work-out. But exercise is a vital part of helping your body to deal with stress, it reduces blood pressure and strengthens your heart – not to mention the fact that feeling fit can give you the confidence boost you may need to handle life’s hurdles.’

Dr. Ian Banks, President of the Men’s Health Forum added, ‘We're hoping the 'FitFifty' will inspire people to look at their own fitness and think about making some steps toward improving their health'

Men’s Health Week, beginning on 14th June will attempt to draw attention to our nation’s uncomplaining men, who are not only more likely to die prematurely, but also to commit suicide or develop an alcohol addiction.
