Go with the flow…

Flo’Olegy

This multi-purpose album allows you to put on and leave as soothing back-ground music perfect for those dinner dates or chill out sessions with your nearest and dearest, as well as acting as a great album to really sink into an exotic, blissful state of mind where you can delve in to the poetry and appreciation of the lyrics and musical arrangements.

With a new look that manifests their chilled out sexy sound Floetry are back and better than ever.

Floetry possess a sound that pretty much represents all the contemporary soul sisters around right now. With the fresh tones of Alicia Keys, the soul of Mary J Blige and the presence of Ericka Badu you can detect their influences in others as well as where they have drawn the essence from the other great sounds in modern soul music.

The album’s sexy enough to rob Mary of her virginity as the echoing, sultry voices just ooze sex yet without a drop of smut. Listen to I Want You and In Your Eyes and you will see what we mean. The sensitive lyrics project a raw emotion which evokes you to feel a truth in their endearing words. If by the time you got to track12 you were falling into a dreamy slumber, their cover-version of Bob’s Waiting In Vain will have you head-bopping back into consciousness or you could just flick back to SupaStar featuring the uncommonly cool  – Common.

For those in appreciation of the poetic way Floetry construct their verses, this is so good you will want to cry. If you feel all that finger snapping in place of a good old round of applause is nonsense, and prefer the smell of a Silk Cut cigarette to a patchouli incense stick then be warned, it gets a little rootsy. But then this may be the album to convert you…just be prepared for the look on your mates face when you turn up with dreadlocks.
